Young people should not merely be invited to attend. They should be encouraged to learn, contribute, and gradually take ownership of the community they will inherit.
Pathways for Growth
Youth leadership may develop through:
- Age-appropriate roles at cultural events
- Community service
- Mentorship and career conversations
- Cultural demonstrations and storytelling
- Scholarship preparation
- Public speaking and project leadership
- Intergenerational learning with elders and community leaders
Current Opportunities
The Council does not currently have a separate youth leadership application window. Specific opportunities will be announced when dates, eligibility, supervision, and program leadership are confirmed.
Parents, guardians, educators, and students are welcome to share ideas for future programming. Participation by minors will require appropriate adult coordination and safeguards.
