The Filipino-American Council of the Mississippi Gulf Coast exists to strengthen connection, preserve culture, support families, and encourage young people to thrive.
Mission
Our mission is to enrich and support Filipino-American communities on the Mississippi Gulf Coast through charitable programs, cultural preservation, fellowship, and educational opportunity.
Through community gatherings and shared effort, we seek to build a stronger and more connected community—one that celebrates its roots, serves its neighbors, and helps Filipino-American families build a bright future together.
Vision
We envision a Filipino-American community on the Mississippi Gulf Coast where heritage is celebrated with pride, young people are empowered to succeed, families feel supported, and people of every generation find meaningful ways to belong.
Values
Bayanihan — Community Spirit
We believe in unity, shared effort, and lifting one another up. The Council is strongest when many hands contribute to a common purpose.
Pamana — Heritage
We honor the cultural inheritance passed to us through family, history, language, food, music, faith, art, and community life. We preserve it by sharing it.
Edukasyon — Education
We see youth as our brightest future and support their pursuit of learning, cultural confidence, leadership, and opportunity.
Malasakit — Compassion
We lead with empathy and seek practical, dignified ways to care for people and respond to community needs.
Our Nonprofit Purpose
The Council is a Mississippi Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its resources are used to advance mission-aligned programs and activities rather than private benefit.
Put These Values into Motion
Our mission becomes real when people gather, volunteer, teach, learn, mentor, celebrate, and serve together.
