Membership

There is a place for you in this community. Membership is the easiest way to stay connected with Filipino-American life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, receive Council updates, and choose the level of participation that fits you.

All membership applications, renewals, and dues are maintained through Zeffy, the Council's membership system of record.

Choose Your Membership Path

Community Membership – Free

Community Membership is the recommended first step for anyone who supports the Council's mission and wants to receive public event announcements, newsletters, and general updates.

Community Membership is free and has no age or residency requirement.

Community Members may:

Receive public event announcements and general Council updates
Attend public events, cultural programs, and community gatherings
Participate in general membership meetings as non-voting participants
Volunteer for public opportunities when roles are available
Serve on committees at the discretion of the committee chair
Stay connected even if they are new to the area, not Filipino, part of another Filipino group, or simply interested in supporting the community

Community Membership does not include voting rights, eligibility to hold office or serve as a director, attendance at Board meetings, proxy voting, or access to member-only events.

Supporting Membership – $25 Annually

Supporting Membership is for eligible adults who want to sustain the Council financially and participate more deeply in organizational life and governance.

Supporting Members must be at least 21 years old, support the Council's mission, submit an application, pay annual dues, and ordinarily reside in Hancock, Harrison, or Jackson County unless the Board grants a waiver.

Supporting Members in good standing may:

Vote in elections and referendums
Be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors
Attend and observe quarterly Board meetings
Propose agenda items for Board consideration
Serve on committees and task forces
Attend public and member-only events
Receive organizational communications
Grant proxy voting rights to another Supporting Member

Zeffy maintains the official membership transaction and payment record. If you are unsure which membership option to choose, start with free Community Membership or contact the Council before submitting a paid renewal.

Privacy and Member Information

The Council treats membership information as confidential. Member information is not sold and is limited to authorized personnel for membership administration, communications, event coordination, and other approved Council operations. Information submitted through Zeffy is also subject to Zeffy's privacy and security practices.
