Do I need to be Filipino to join?
No. Membership is open to people who support the Council’s mission and meet the requirements of the selected membership class.
Is Community Membership really free?
Yes. Community Membership has no fees or dues and no age or residency requirement.
What is the difference between Community and Supporting Membership?
Community Membership is designed for public updates, events, and general participation. Supporting Membership includes annual dues and may provide voting, governance, committee, Board-observer, and member-only participation rights.
How much is Supporting Membership?
Annual Supporting Membership dues are currently $25. The Board may adjust dues by resolution.
Who may become a Supporting Member?
Supporting Members must be at least 21 years old, support the mission, submit an application, pay dues, and ordinarily reside in Hancock, Harrison, or Jackson County unless the Board grants a residency waiver.
Where do I join or renew?
Membership applications, renewals, and dues are handled through Zeffy, the Council’s membership system of record.
When does Supporting Membership need to be renewed?
Supporting Membership is annual. Follow the renewal instructions provided through Zeffy or Council communications. Members who do not pay dues beyond the bylaws’ grace period may lose good-standing status or membership.
How will the Council use my information?
Membership information is used to administer membership and provide relevant Council communications. It is confidential, is not sold, and is limited to authorized personnel. Zeffy also applies its own privacy and security practices to information submitted through its service.
Can Community Members volunteer?
Yes. Community Members may participate in public volunteer opportunities and may serve on committees at the discretion of the committee chair.
Can I change membership classes later?
Yes. Use the Zeffy membership page or contact the Council for guidance.
